It would not be an exaggeration to say that Prince Harry and American actress Meghan’s relationship is one of the widely followed around the globe.Though the Queen’s consent was as good as given from the early days of the couple’s relationship, Meghan’s divorcee status was something that was thought to create snag in the proceedings. 

However, putting stop to all doubts Queen Elizabeth II has given her official nod to the wedding of her grandson Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Prince harry being fifth in line to the throne actually needed a consent from the Queen for the wedding under the Succession to the Crown Act.  The permission was formally granted for the wedding on Thursday through a letter from the Buckingham Palace.
