The release date is one of the primary factors that decide the fate of the film in box office. Many quality film that were critically acclaimed have not been able to make the right noise at the box office due to the wrong timing of release.

To mitigate this problem the Tamil Film Producers Council has issued a new request to Producers.

The Council has asked all the Tamil film producers to register the release date of their films that are ready or planned to release until January 2018 with the Producers Council.

This proactive step of the Producers Council is expected to help a long way in reducing the confusions created during the release time due to many releases on the same week and tackle problems such as non-availability of theaters.
