Films with big star cast and production companies have always been subject to complaints and cases from persons claiming to be the owners of stories, titles etc. If it is a Superstar Rajinikanth film, the possibility of such complaints are even greater. The unwritten norm of Kollywood has just happened to Rajinikanth's 'Kaala Karikaalan' whose shoot has just begun in Mumbai on May 28th.

A person named K.Rajesekaran has filed a complaint with the Chennai City Commissioner of Police alleging that the title and basic theme of 'Kaala Karikaalan' has been stolen from him. In his complaint letter in Tamil. Rajeshwaran has alleged that he had penned a script for Superstar Rajinikanth in 1995-96 titled as 'Karikaalan' and he also met Rajinikanth and the latter assured him that they can discuss about doing the project latter.

Rajesekaran says he has registered the title 'Karikaalan' with the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. He also states that he has filed a Court case against the attempt to make a film titled as 'Karikalan' with Vikram in the lead role however the film did not happen at all.

The complainant has requested that Commissioner to take necessary action against the makers of 'Kaala Karikaalan' for using the story and title registered by him without his permission.

We can expect a clarification from Dhanush the producer or Ranjith the director fo 'Kaala Karikaalan'.
