Superstar Rajinikanth is joining forces with Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar for the first time for his 169th film. Now the latest update about Jailer is that the film is all set to commence with a muhurat pooja on an auspicious date.

While we already reported that the film will commence in August the latest update about this movie is that the muhurat pooja will take place on August 3 with all the stars gracing the event.

The film is said to be an action thriller where a group of gangsters plan a jailbreak with superstar Rajinikanth playing an experienced jailer, who stops the jailbreak. Reports are that the film will have a huge cast consisting of Priyanka Mohan, Shivrajkumar, Aishwarya Rai, Ramya Krishnan and others.

Produced by Sun Pictures, composer Anirudh Ravichander is on board, while more details on the rest of the cast and crew will be revealed soon, with reports indicating Aishwarya Rai Bachchan could be the female lead.
