'Rowthiram' that features Jiiva and Shriya Saran in the lead roles is gearing up for an August release. The megaphone for the film is wielded by debutant Gokul, whereas, Prakash Raj and Jayaprakash play pivotal roles in the film.

The film is seeing a release simultaneously in Telugu as 'Roudram.' It may be mentioned that Jiiva - KV Anand's 'Ko' released in Telugu and went on to become a blockbuster hit.

The film portrays Jiiva as an angry young person and has Shriya as his lady love. 'Rowthiram' saw an audio launch recently and the songs immediately climbed up the charts.
