As the titles roll, a brief history of Jackie Shroff, his mafia and feuds between gangsters is narrated. Tanikella Bharani is seen as a Union Minister.

Prabhas enters as Ashok Chakravarthy, an undercover cop whose entire life is "off the record". The story unfolds in Mumbai.

The second half begins on an interesting note but the tempo is left in the lurch by a song. The over-made, undifferentiated villains are unexciting.

There is a long gun battle which may not be pointless but looks pointless. Some of the lines are outdated. And they come in crucial scenes.

Utterly chaotic story telling. This one wouldn't have worked after 'Mirchi'. And it has come after 'Baahubali'. You can imagine.

The much-touted chase sequence is punctuated with vaguely narrated war room proceedings. Also, can someone please tell the bad guys to change their expressions?

Prabhas becomes a silent man of few jaded lines in the second half. The desert fight is underwhelming. Yes, it's underwhelming.

The climax has an interesting revelation in store. With clear-cut narration, this film would have been okayish.
