Sports biopics is a very popular sub genre in Bollywood. After Milkha Singh, Mary Kom, Phogat sisters and others, now badminton star Saina Nehwal is gettig a biopic too. This Parineeti Chopra starrer project is about to finish soon and the makers were considering a digital due to the pandemic circumstances.

Things have changed after the centre's decision to allow 100% occupancy in theaters and according to reports the film might go the proper theatrical way of release. Producers felt Saina is a national icon whose story deserves to be told on big screen.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Producer Bhushan Kumar was considering 26 March and 9 April as potential release dates but now seems to have settled on 26th.
