Samuthirakani is currently busy with his directorial venture 'Thondan' in which he will be seen in the lead role along with Vikranth and Sunaina.

Apart from this, Samuthirakani is as usual busy with multiple projects as a supporting actor and the list includes 'Vada Chennai', 'VIP 2' and 'Aan Devathai'.

Now it has been confirmed that the National award winning actor has committed himself to play the lead role in director V.Z.Durai's next.

Durai made his directorial debut with the Ajith Kumar starrer 'Mughavaree'. Later he went on to direct Vikram's 'Kadhal Sadugudu', Silambarasan in 'Thotti Jaya' and 'Nepali' with Bharath. The last film he directed was the critically acclaimed '6 Meluguvathigal' that released in early 2013.

Now the director will be making a comeback after four years with 'Yemali' which will have Samuthirakani in the lead role. Prolific Tamil writer Jeyamohan will be penning the dialogues as he has written for Durai's previous film also.

The film will apparently have two heroines and a newcomer as the music director.

An official announcement about the project can be expected soon.
