Recently news was out that filmmaker Omung Kumar's much talked about biopic 'Sarbjit' finally wrapped up it's shooting. Following the completion of the shooting schedule, the entire cast and crew are currently rejoicing with a sigh of relief. The director had also tweeted about the update with a group selfie as well.

Interestingly 'Sarbjit' set a record of shooting the film in just 52 days. Talking about this, producer Sandeep Singh said, "To make a film is a team effort, and when everyone in the team is equally passionate about the subject in hand there's hardly anything unachievable. To pull of such a demanding film in 52 days is the result of this passion and dedication."

Since it was a biopic, the director Omung Kumar chose real locations which were related to Sarbjit Singh's life. Commencing their shoot journey with a set created in Mumbai of a Pakistani jail, to shooting at Palghar, the beautiful Golden Temple to the mesmerizing small villages of Punjab, the locations had a varying range. Kick starting it schedule in December 2015, the makers, thus, completed the shoot smoothly in the planned 52 days.

'Sarbjit' is slated for release on 20th May worldwide and will be premiered at the prominent Cannes Festival in May.
