At the launch of Gautamiputra Satakarni, Nandamuri Nata Simha gave a glorious speech.

Speaking on the occasion, Balakrishna said, "I heard many stories to do my 10tth film. Although I liked some of them, they were not apt to be made into my 100th film. Striving to make new stuff, Nanna garu tried a variety of roles. Even I persevere to follow in my father's foot steps. I okayed this script because Krish came up with a story that is worthy to be made into my 100th film."

Balayya further said, "Not many know about Gautamiputra Satakarni's legend. Born in Koti Lingalu of today's Telangana, he spread his kingdom with Amaravathi as the capital. The greatness of such a king should be projected not only in India but also internationally. A few writers are writing the script after doing thorough research about his life and times."

Saying that failures could never hurt even his little finger, Balayya said, "It's because of my parents' punya that I have acted in several 100-day films. I am dedicating this movie to my fans and the mothers of India."

As is his style, Balayya peppered his speech with autobiographical statements. "He who has no ambition, carries no value. He who has no anger, is not a human being at all. That's what I believe in. By reading history, I got to learn that Satakarni's life, too, was that. He who loves all and goes ahead without caring for others is a dictator."
