Sathyaraj made the role of Kattappa immortal in the biggest ever blockbusters of Indian cinema 'Baahubali' and 'Baahubali2' directed by S.S. Rajamouli.  He is all set to take on another historical role in a new movie and this time it is in Malayalam.

Prithviraj is starring as Kunchirakkottu Kaali in 'Kaaliyan' which is about a warrior in the Venad area in Malabar during the pre-independance era. The film will directed by S. Mahesh has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, screenplay by BT Anil Kumar and produced by Rajeev Nair of Magic Moon Productions.

 Prithviraj and Sathyaraj have shared the screen eleven years earlier for the Tamil film 'Kannamoochi Yenada' directed by Priya V and produced by Radhika Sarathkumar.
