Last December, we reported that Kollywood director Atlee is an expectant father. The star director himself had made the news of his wife Krishna Priya becoming pregnant official, taking to social media.

The news is that the 'Bigil' maker's wife today gave birth to a healthy and cute baby boy. The duo, who has been married since 2014, have been inundated with congratulations from fans and industry people. They have just begun a new chapter in their life in a year that is most crucial for Atlee on the professional front.

Taking to social media, Atlee shared his delight. "They were right. There’s no feeling in the world like this. And just like that our baby boy is here! A new exciting adventure of parenthood starts today! Grateful. Happy. Blessed (sic)," he added.

The director, who is currently debuting in Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan-Nayanthara's 'Jawan', is clearly on cloud nine today.

Atlee is also known for hits like 'Raja Rani' (his debut movie) and Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal'. He is going to make a big splash in Bollywood with the SRK-starrer this year.
