'Shahid' overwhelms Rajkummar Rao

The Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival recently screened the National Award winning, Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Shahid'. And being at the screening, the actor was said to be quite overwhelmed with the response that he received there.

The young actor, who won the National Award for Best Actor for 'Shahid', attended the screening of his film which was the closing film of the ceremony. It was also attended by directors like Rajkumar Hirani and Shimit Amin. When contacted Rajkummar shared, "Shahid will always be one of my most special films. The response to the screening at the Film Festival was quite overwhelming. I even had an interesting interactive session with like minded people which was enriching. Also, all the youngsters there could connect with my journey and wanted to know more about it."

Post the screening, the actor also interacted with about a thousand youngsters present at the event. They spoke about his journey in the industry, being an outsider and cinema at length.

After last seen in 'Citylights' and 'Queen', Rajkummar next has Mohit Suri`s 'Humaari Adhuri Kahaani' with Vidya Balan, followed by Hansal Mehta`s 'Aligarh' alongside Manoj Bajpai.
