'Shamitabh': The first film to be shot at Mumbai's International airport

R.Balki`s ambitious next 'Shamitabh' starring superstar Amitabh Bachchan,Dhanush and introducing Akshara Haasan is fast becoming the most anticipated film of next year - Not only was 'Shamitabh', the first Bollywood film to have shot at Lapland(Finland) but is also the first film to be shot at Mumbai`s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

Sources reveal that the cast and crew shot at the International airports` swanky new Terminal 2 (T2) for a day and things went off smoothly courtesy the supportive authorities ,who ensured the team of Shamitabh were well looked after.

When contacted, Balki confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, we shot a scene at T2 and completed the shoot much before the deadline given to us by the airport authorities. They were extremely cooperative".

Written and directed by R.Balki, with cinematography by the legendary PC Sreeram who shot Nayakan, Agni Nakshstram, Alaipayuthe (original of Saathiya) besides Balki's Paa and Cheeni Kum,Shamitabh will also have music by Ilaiyaraaja who is possibly the greatest music composer this country has seen.

Eros International & Hope Productions` 'Shamitabh' starring Amitabh Bachchan,Dhanush and Akshara Haasan is scheduled to release February 6th 2015.
