In recent times it is doubtful if any other star actor has had such a roller coaster professional and personal life as Simbu. The child star who commanded huge fan following of women and children then has his fan base intact as an adult and that too without a single release in the past two years. His fans go watch films like Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya`, Inga Enna Solludhu` and Kaaka Muttai` just to catch a glimpse of their much loved star in a miniscule cameo.

Lets face it, Simbu has been unlucky in love just as anyone from a group of friends in any profession is likely to be but because he is a celebrity his personal life is being dragged into the public arena and is debated and judged by insensitive people who have a load of dirt on their own backs. Other alarming rumors are also a dime a dozen on the internet. Coming to Simbu`s profession any businessman will have a couple of bad years in his life and so can any other professional who will find himself going through a phase when everything he touches will go wrong and some force will work against him in every step he takes. Whatever happened to Simbu is what happens to us common folk too, period.

Times have apparently changed and today Simbu is busy shooting for Gautham Vasudev Menon`s Acham Enbadhu Madamaiyada` and Selvaraghavan`s Kaan`. His Valu` and Idhu Namma Aalu` will see the light of the day within a few weeks. One can safely assume that within the next year Simbu would have regained his place as a celebrated multi talented star.

During the tough times Simbu has shown a level headedness that is rare. He patched up with his long time rival Dhanush and what's more he has even made a cameo appearance in the latter`s production Kaaka Muttai`. Some sections even ridiculed him for doing the important role in Kaaka Muttai`. One has to agree that the Kaaka Muttai` cameo does not show the star in good light.

In the climax when the pressmen accuse him of triggering the whole controversial events, a smiling Simbu disarmingly answers that it is not his intention but if it is so he is sorry. We can take his words as not dialogues for the film but as his attitude in real life too.

The star lends his voice and continues to make cameo appearances for his friends and does so with minimum fuss. In any interview Simbu speaks from his heart and does not add the frills that celebrities usually do and that is why he connects to his fans big time and get their continued support.

Simbu just needs one hit and his lineup of films are directed by men like Pandiraj, Gautham Menon and Selvaraghavan who have the potential to deliver it to him.
