We have an official update on SP Balasubrahmanyam's health. MGM Healthcare, Chennai, has said that the legendary singer, who has been treated for Covid-induced complications, continues to be critical. He is still on a ventilator at the moment. However, his vital parameters are satisfactory.

"SPB continues to be critical and is on a ventilator and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support in the intensive care unit (ICU). The expert medical team treating him is closely monitoring his vital parameters which are satisfactory at this point of time," the hospital said in a health bulletin on Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, there were rumours that he was off the ventilator. SP Charan refuted the rumour.
