Actress accuses Tollywood producer Appa Rao of bedding more than 100 girls

Actress Sri Reddy, who has shocked Tollywood and other film industries in the South with her recent spell of ‘Srileaks’, dropped a bombshell last weekend when she openly accused popular Tollywood producer V. Appa Rao of having bedded ‘more than 100 women’ (including many minor girls) who aspired to become actresses.

Sri Reddy has been in the news recently when she went half-naked while protesting against a particular film producer who had been sexually harassing her.  For the past fortnight or so, she has been flooding her Twitter account with allegations of sexual torture/harassment indulged in by leading Telugu film industrywallaahs ranging from producers, directors, actors, playback singers and script-writers.

‘Sex-for-films’ offer has been discussed intently for the past few months in the country with many actresses conceding that they too faced those offers in their initial days. Efforts by Tollywood industry folks to talk to Sri Reddy to request her to keep quiet without ‘revealing’ any other ‘big’ names have hit a bottleneck and the actress appears to be enjoying making many revelations on her Twitter account.

“Executive producer V. Appa Rao had bedded more than 100 women (mostly wannabe actresses including many 16-year olds) so far,” Sri said in her latest post.  It may be recalled that some time back, she described actor Rana Daggubati’s brother Abhiram Daggubati as a ‘sex maniac’ besides naming author Kona Venkat, film-maker Koratala Siva, comedian Harsha, playback singer Sriram Chandra as culprits in such matters.

Second-string actresses such as Hema, Shreya, Srivaani and Sridevi chose to come out in the open by confirming Appa Rao’s behavior.
