B-Town`s King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan turned 49 yesterday and the superstar apparently had the best celebration ever. The success of King Khan`s latest release Happy New Year` had already set the celebration ball running and with his birthday, SRK couldn`t ask for more. No doubt he is feeling top of the world right now, but being very humble at heart that he is, Shah Rukh took some time from his busy life to express his gratitude towards his fans and media - who made him to achieve the star status.

A night before his birthday (on Saturday), SRK came out of his palatial house, Mannat, to share his celebration with media and the huge crowd of fans who had been patiently waiting to wish the superstar. "So many beautiful people outside Mannat. Thank you all for celebrating my birthday with such ownership and love. Very humbling..." had tweeted the screen icon.

SRK apparently was more elated when West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wished him on his birthday (on Sunday) via her social networking page. She posted "Today (Sunday) is the birthday of our very dear Shah Rukh Khan. We wish him best of happiness, prosperity, good health and success. Our best wishes also to all members of his family. Happy birthday Shah Rukh." King Khan is the brand ambassador of West Bengal and recently he had visited the minister on the promotional tour of HNY.

Besides her, several Bollywood celebrities had tweeted their wishes to SRK including Karan Johar, Boman Irani, Kareena Kapoor-Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Manish Malhotra among others.
