The Iraivi` controversy due to the portrayal of a film producer in bad light has kicked up a huge storm and there are talks about director Karthick Subbaraj served a red card by the Producer Council. Meanwhile one of the co-producers of the film Studio Green Gananavelraja has come out with a video explaining the exact stand of him and the other producers regarding the issue.

Gnanavelraja has said that while many directors have to undergo years of struggle and suffering as assistant directors before making it big Karthick Subbaraj had an easy way in through his short film and C. V. Kumar produced his Pizza` which made him an overnight star. Jigarthanda` producer Kathiresan too had faced issues with Karthick and during the making of Iraivi` C.V. Kumar too went through a lot of pain as the budget given by the director was exceeded more than two fold. According to Gnanavelraja if the film fails C.V. Kumar has to return to his hometown Madurai and they both condemn Karthick`s portrayal of the producer in the film and would welcome sever action by the Producer Council.
