Celebrated TV anchor Suma and her husband, Rajeev Kanakala, have come forward to finance the rebuilding of a family health centre in Kerala's Alleppey. The same was ravaged in the recent floods.

The couple had come to know about the fate of the centre from a newspaper report. With the help of the daily, they contacted the Sub-Collector of the district and expressed their willingness to do their bit for rebuilding efforts. They are ready to spend whatever it takes.

"We thank the couple who have adopted and undertaken the restoration of the Family Health Centre, Kunnumma through ‘I am For Alleppey’. We thank them wholeheartedly and hope that their generous act inspires many more to support us!" an organization has said.
