Sundeep Kishan-starrer 'Maayavan' (Tamil) hit the screens on Thursday and the same has opened to a rather rousing critical reception. Starring Lavanya Tripathi, the sci-fi thriller has been directed by CV Kumar.

After 'Nagaram' ('Maanagaram' in Tamil) earlier this year, Sundeep has scored points with yet another experimental film. From his acting to dialogue-delivery, everything is said to be distinct.

It will be released as 'Project Z' in Telugu. Music-directed by Ghibran of 'Babu Bangaram' and 'Vishwaroopam-2' fame, it has Bollywood's Jackie Shroff and Daniel Balaji in two of the key roles.

The actor also awaits the release of 'Manasuku Nachindi', a soothing romantic drama directed by Manjula Ghattamaneni, on January 26.
