Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' release blocked by film chamber citing politics

Rajinikanths Kaala release blocked citing politics

Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' is one of the most awaited releases of the year and since it is almost two years since 'Kabali' hit the screens the fans all over the globe are most eager to catch it in theaters first day first show.

However the Karnataka Film Chamber after a meeting has announced that it is going to block the release of 'Kaala' in Karnataka. The reason cited is that Rajini has spoken in favour of Tamil Nadu getting the Cauvery water and that if the film releases it would cause tension amongst the people. S.R. Govind, the chamber president has stated that even if Rajini apologizes for his statement the film will not be allowed to release.
