Suriya-Karthi heroine to play Sridevi in biopic

After the success of 'Mahanati/Nadigaiyar Thilagam' more biopics on film personalities are being made and the most notable is 'NTR' biopic directed by Krish in which Balakrishna plays the role of his legendary father.

During NTR's heydays as a leading man a young Sridevi costarred as his leading lady in many films.  In the biopic too Sridevi's character figures prominently and many actresses were vying for it.  The opportunity to portray the late legendary actress has gone to Rakul Preet Singh.

Currently in Tamil Rakul Preet is playing Suriya's love interest in 'NGK' directed by Selvaraghavan and opposite Karthi in 'Dev'.
