Tackling media: How Chiru & others want to go about it

Recently, we quoted an insider as saying that there is no proposal to boycott some TV channels.  This report of ours came in the wake of certain reports that Megastar Chiranjeevi was keen on showing the TV channels their place in the light of the Pawan Kalyan-versus-media issue.

As per latest reports, the boycott issue is indeed a figment of the imagination.  However, there is a proposal to deal with negative reports about the film industry that some sections of media are known for.  A committee comprising of some experienced industry members will look into the reportage by different sections of media (electronic, web, and print).  The committee will come up with its own observations, later which concerned bodies will take a call regarding rectifying the negativity.

Some producers are believed to have expressed concern regarding growing ad expenses, with the proliferation of TV channels, web media houses, etc.

Supriya (the producer from the Akkineni compound) and director Nandini Reddy are learned to have expressed their shock at the industry keeping silent when a TV journalist recently described some women in TFI as whores.

There is also this plan to appoint designated spokespersons to speak on behalf of the film industry.
