In a shocking move, the Tamil Film Producers Council has suspended actor Vishal, the propreitor of the production company Vishal Film Factory.

The Producer Council had objected to Vishal's answers to questions about the Producers Council in his interview to a leading Tamil magazine in August 2016. The Council has been alleging that Vishal speaks and behaves in such way that will spoil the harmony among its members and had issued a notice to him seeking explanation.

Vishal had sent his explanation in the form of a letter. This letter was discussed in the Executive Council meeting of the Producers Council held on November 12, 2016. Since Vishal's explanation was not found to be satisfactory, the Council has passed a resolution to suspend Vishal from the council by temporarily cancelling his basic membership.

It is worth recalling that Vishal has been telling that a group of young film producers will be contesting in the upcoming elections for the key posts of Producers Council. Vishal is the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam.
