Thala and Thalapathy are the wortd's biggest professional rivals and both enjoy the mightiest fan following too. The two mega heroes enjoy a heathy freindship and their families too bond well visitng each others houses when occassions arise.

At a recent film function Thala Ajith's 'Viswasam' was awarded the most entertaining film of 2019 and Vijay's dad S.A. Chandrasekhar handed over the trophy to the team. In a few interviews SAC had expressed his appreciation for both 'Viswasam' and 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and praised Ajith's acting sharing that he was moved to tears. The veteran director shared that Thalapathy Vijay called Ajith and Siruthai Siva personally and congratulated them both for the success of their film.

Vijay is currently shooting for 'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in which Vijay Sethupathi is playing the villain while Ajith's 'Valimai' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor is also progressing at a brisk pace.
