That film should be sent to Oscars: BJP MP

Kirron Kher, BJP MP, has opined that the upcoming Hindi-language movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister will only make the audience fall in love with former PM Manmohan Singh.

"It’s a pathbreaking film. People who speak of freedom of speech i.e., Rahul Gandhi, must now practice what he preaches. Anupam Kher (playing Dr. Singh) told me people will fall in love with Manmohan Singh ji. It should be India’s official entry to the Oscars," Kirron said.

Set to hit the screens on January 11, the political drama is based on Sanjay Baru's book of the same name. There is a perception that it's a BJP-sponsored propaganda movie meant to dent Sonia Gandhi's image.
