The Thai Cave Rescue progression is almost complete with 11 boys rescued. Yet another boy and a coach needs to be pulled out of the cave. The mission was approached with great risk and fear initially, however with a lot of expertise coming into the mission, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief.
Especially an Australian doctor Richard Harris, who is now dubbed as Hero Harry has played a very important role. He was the one who persuaded the Thailand medical team to get the weakest boys out first after swimming inside the cave to know if they were capable of swimming 1.7 kms.
Richard Harris is a 53 year old doctor(anesthetist) who is also an expert cave diver. Not only this mission, he has experience is other missions as well. He was the one to help find his friend Agnes’s body after the victim lost contact with her team in Tank Cave, South Australia in 2011.
Not only that Harris has been a part of well known director James Cameroon’s ‘Sanctum’ as a stunt diver for two female characters. “Harry’s selfless, he’s extremely thoughtful, he’s a quiet person,” his colleague and friend Andrews has said about Harry.
