Trailer Review: Abhimanyudu

'Abhimanyudu', the Telugu version of 'Irumbu Thirai', seems to work on the strength of the villain's intelligence. Played by Arjun Sarja, he is The White Devil we should all be scared of. Reason? He uses our personal, smartphone, biometric information as a weapon to wage a war against us. Because, for him, you and I are just a number. "I am a scorpion," he says stingingly.

As for the hero (Vishal in a power-packed, brainy role), he is a military officer with loads of anger. "Veediki kopam matrame vastundi," a character says.

The Trailer presents 'Abhimanyudu' as a quintessential action drama where the villain uses the latest tricks in the town. Just as in the film, Arjun makes a belated entry in it.

Debutant director PS Mithran seeks to ask if we are ready for Digital India. But the film is not all serious. Situational humour aside, the rom-com track involving Samantha (as Dr. Rathi Devi) and Vishal is expected to be fun.

Set to hit the screens on June 1, the film is claimed to have an excellent background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
