When the teaser of this Chandrasekhar Yeleti directorial was released last month, we were told that 'Manamantha' is the story of four characters who are at different phases in their life: childhood (Mahitha, a school girl), youth (Abhiram, an engineering student), and adulthood (Gayathri, a housewife and Sairam, an asst. manager at a supermarket). The characters of Gayathri and Sairam are played by Gauthami and the legendary Mohanlal, respectively.

The trailer, on its part, takes our understanding of the human drama a step ahead. As it begins, it says that life is a roller coaster of emotions. The four main characters are seen carrying on with their little lives with no major complaints. Looks like Sairam and Gayathri are overtaken by negative emotions, whereas Abhiram's love affair goes falls on the rocks. Mahitha apparently is a Good Samaritan who risks it in her endeavour to help someone.

On the face of it, it looks like some of these characters are plunged into a process of self-discovery by the circumstances. 'This is the story of everyone' says it all. Elements like Mohanlal lost in deep thought at his workplace, tense calls and chases, etc make it a drama to watch out for. Dialogues like nothing gives satisfaction to middle class people more than the happiness of buying something at deep discount, have to be watched out for.

Dhanraj, Nasser, Chandra Mohan, Anisha Ambrose, Urvashi, LB Sriram, Chaitanya Krishna are seen in the trailer.
