Varsha DSouza on her projects, dreams, her crush and more

Varsha D'Souza, the 16-year-old Internet celeb, made name for herself by doing TikTok videos as a school-goer. She shot to fame with the series 'Backbenchers', which made her a mini-celeb.

In an exclusive chat with IndiaGlitz, the budding artist and YouTube star talks about her projects, Tollywood heroes, her crush and more:

Excerpts:

There is a story behind the name D'Souza. I was doing TikTok videos at a time when its ban was in the air. I wanted to have a 'thoka' to my name Varsha so that people remember me. After I got 'D'Souza' attached to my name, my videos started going viral.

I am doing a web series named 'Bebamma', in which I have got a rugged look. I am doing a mini-series named 'MISunderstanding'. It's true that I want to become an actress. But I want to enjoy college life, chill out with friends, etc. I have bunked the college too many times and I have to attend tuition classes to cope up with the syllabus.

I have known Shanmukh Jaswanth since I was in Class VI. He is a super-cool person, who doesn't talk much. In Bigg Boss Telugu 5, he was silent and calm-going initially. That's how he is in real life. He has a small circle and is very intelligent. He makes good plans for himself.

People have started recognizing me everywhere despite my wearing a mask. They recognize me from my hairstyle, etc. They ask for selfies! My relatives boast about my videos and works. I don't interact much with relatives, though.

On Pawan Kalyan: I like his mannerisms. I am a fan of his movie 'Gabbar Singh'.

On Mahesh Babu: He is so cute. People are mesmerized by his charm. 'Khaleja' is my personal favourite.

I crush on Vishwak Sen: Ever since I watched 'Falaknuma Das', I started crushing on him. The other day, when my lecturer told me Sen was his student, I was smitten by the Sen bug immediately!

On Allu Arjun: He changes his slang and style with film after film. He was like one thing in 'Race Gurram'. In 'Naa Peru Surya', his voice had base. He shows variation.

On Vijay Deverakonda: I like the 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Pelli Choopulu' VD more than the 'Arjun Reddy' VD. He comes across as an innocent person.
