The actor-turned-director Venkat Prabhu has emerged a sought-after director in Kollywood today. He is flooded with congratulatory messages pouring from various quarters.

Asked about the compliments that his way after the movie's release, Venkat Prabhu, says, “I received many. But I was moved when my uncle Ilayaraja, man of few words, appreciated me. He said that he was happy that I chose to work with newcomers and have molded them well. With established actors, I could not have done this script”.

“Also Bharathiraja appreciated me. He hailed the movie as one of the best in the recent times”, Venkat Prabhu said.
