Following Vellithirai audio launch function, 'Pidichirukku' audio launch too chose to have the veteran music director attended M.S. Viswanathan as chief guest. The function also had seasoned singers P. Suseela, S. Janaki, and S.P. Balasubramaniam as special invitees.

Manu Rameshan, a new music director, has scored the music for 'Pidichirukku'. The four songs of the movie, aired in the function were soothing to the ears.

Manu’s father Rameshan is one of the leading lyricists in Malayalam. He has translated classical Tamil works in Malayalam including 'Thirukkural' and 'Silappathigaaram'. He has also translated Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi’s novel 'Ponnar Sankar'.

P. Suseela, who doesn’t speak much in public functions, rendered a long speech with a joyful mood.

SPB informed the audience that Chitha Senbaga Kumar, producer of the movie, was the one who conducted a grand musical program featuring Isaignani Ilayaraja in Dubai. Kumar is also a good singer, SPB revealed.

Hero Ashok prostrated on her feet to get her blessings. He also did the same thing when SPB came to talk.

There is an interesting story behind the title. Director Kanagu, who was working as an assistant director with Lingusamy got the title from his mentor. 'Pidichirukku' was the title which Lingusamy was about to use for his Run. Since Kanagu liked the title, Lingusamy decided to give it to his protege.
