Actor Vijay who was last seen in Atlee's sports entertainer Bigil which was released in 2019 Diwali was supposed to have his next movie Master released during this summer, but Coronavirus pandemic had ruined release plans.

While the post production and release activities of Master were delayed by the pandemic, now it looks like the team has planned to have s festive release. As per latest reports, Master might be releasing worldwide on Diwali this year.

It has also been said that the team is not planning to release teaser or trailer and will only be releasing a special poster on Vijay's birthday on June 22. Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah and has music by Anirudh.
