'Vikram', the year's biggest hits by a square mile and one of the biggest ever in Tamil cinema is continuing its theatrical run into the sixth week and has also started streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. The cerebral action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has music by Anirudh and the dream starcast of Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Suriya.

Vijay Sethupathi played the chief antagonist Santhanam in 'Vikram' and he will speak about his boss Rolex in one or two instances with fear. The expectations for Rolex went up because such a ruthless man as Santhanam is afraid of him. The anticipation was paid of to the greatest extent in the climax when Suriya appears as the kingpin villain Rolex Sir.

In a recent promotional interview for 'Maamanithan', Vijay Sethupathi was asked to comment about Suriya's role as the deadly villain. The Makkal Selvan replied that first Lokesh was looking at some other actors and only a week before Suriya could shoot that he came to know about his presence. The versatile actor was apparently surprised that a mass hero like Suriya with the most positive image among fans is playing the role.

VJS pointed out that despite Suriya's clean image the response in the theaters was unprecedentedly positive from the audiences who were given an energy boost. He added that it is a great change in the industry now that big heroes are open to such roles. He concluded that it is a big treat for the audience that Suriya has brushed aside his stardom and helped the film as a whole big time.

Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming films are 'Michael', 'Merry Christmas', 19(1)(a), 'Viduthalai', 'Gandhi Talks' and 'Mumbaikar'. He is in talks for Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee and Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' costarring Fahadh Faasil.
