After playing police officer in majority of his films, it's now the turn of Vijayakanth to don a different role in his forthcoming flick ‘Engal Aasaan’.

‘Engal Aasaan’ features Vijayakanth in the role of a bank man and Sheryll Brindo plays his female lead. The movie is produced by S Ve Thangaraj.

According to director Selva, 'Engal Aasaan is no action film. It is a movie on human emotions'.

Interestingly Vijayakanth's 150th film ‘Arasangam’ featuring Captain in the role of a police instructor is doing well at the box office and collecting a huge good revenue.
