Akshitha, the daughter of 'Chiyaan' Vikram, got engaged yesterday to Manu Ranjit, who belongs to the Ranganathan family of CK Bakery. Manu is a grandson of M Karunanidhi, the DMK patriarch and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

The event was attended by the close and extended family of Vikram, along with some of his long-time friends. Among the celebs, director Shankar was the prominent face seen. Vikram, who wore the traditional dress for the occasion, was seen posing with guests and relatives for selfies. Some of the selfies are doing the rounds on social media. His pic with his daughter is also great.

Akshitha and Manu have been in a relationship for some years now. Their wedding will be held next year.
