With a just a few hours left for Bharath's Chennai Kadhal to release, director Vikraman is all thrilled.

The director has consciously changed from his pattern of film-making and has come up with a youthful entertainer in Chennai Kadhal.

Hitherto known for soft romantic and emotional themes, Vikraman has taken to an action-packed film in Chennai Kadhal.

"Unlike my earlier films, the movie has a racy screenplay with all ingredients to attract the youth segment," Vikraman says and adds, "Bharath plays a happy-go-lucky youngster in the movie. Genelia plays a girl next-door. Their romance forms the crux of the story."

A couple of songs were shot in Mumbai, Kerala and Orissa. "With a young crew assisting me, I felt very comfortable in directing the movie. Chennai Kadhal will get you your money's worth," Vikraman adds.

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Chennai Kadhal has musical score by Joshua Sridhar.

With Em Mahan proving to be a hit, expectations are high on Bharath. Interestingly, the actor also has another release Veyyil (produced by director Shankar) on the same day.
