Varalakshmi Sarathkumar celebrated her birthday on Tuesday making it a social event by inspiring 30 people to pledge their organs to the Save Shakti campaign. Birthday wishes kept pouring Varu's way as the who is who of Kollywood took to social media.

Vishal a long time friend of Varalakshmi posted "Happy happy bday dearest @varusarath. Hav a Supa happy year ahead wit lotsa success and happiness. Gb". It was rather late in the day around 9.30pm and Varu reacted with a short "Thank u so much.!!"

Vishal's next release is 'Ayogya' costarring Raashi Khanna and Parthiban. Varu has a number of ongoing projects including 'Neeya 2', 'Velvet Nagaram', 'RaajaPaarvai' and others.
