Viral: When Manmohan Singh urged govt to pass CAB

There is a video in which Dr. Manmohan Singh, then a member of the Rajya Sabha, is seen urging the NDA government in 2003 to ensure that the persecuted minorities of Pakistan and Bangladesh get citizenship. This one is going viral on the Internet.

In the video, Singh talks about the plight of the persecuted minorities from the two Islamic countries. He urges then Deputy Prime Minister, LK Advani, to give a thought to them. The Chair of the House repeats Singh's request. At this, Advani stands up and says that he fully endorses Singh's views.

Now that the Congress party is opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act, the supporters of the new law are widely sharing the video.
