Why Vidya Balan in Rajini's next?

You might have read yesterday that Vidya Balan was the chosen one for Superstar Rajinikanth's next movie, to be directed by Pa Ranjith of 'Madras' fame. Now we have more details about it.

"Since Rajini is not playing a youngster in the movie, he and Ranjith were particular that they should not cast someone who is very young as heroine. At the same time, they wanted an actress who is talented and knows Tamil. That's how they zeroed in on Vidya," sources said.

Talks are on with Vidya and things are expected to be finalised soon. Shooting for the yet untitled flick, produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, will begin in August. Music will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
