Janata Garage has this unenviable talk of breaking the jinx. What is it, you ask? It has to score a hit with this film in the combination of a Nandamuri actor and Mohanlal. Way back in 1994, a Nandamuri actor delivered a disaster in a film that featured the Malayalam superstar in a song. It was Gandivam. It was released in August.

Now, curiously enough, Janata Garage has two similarities with Gandivam. It stars a Nandamuri hero (it was Balakrishna then and it's NTR now), and it will hit the screens in the month of August.

The film will hit the screens most probably on August 12. Unlike in Gandivam, Mohanlal plays a bigger role in this film, not just a cameo. Directed by Koratala Siva, it has Samantha and Nithya Menen playing female leads.
