A woman was stabbed multiple times by alleged stalker in TN’s Tirunelveli in broad daylight. She succumbed to her injuries even though the locals ran to her rescue. The assailant was caught by them soon after and was handed over to the police.

The woman, who has been identified as Mercy, has known the man, who has been identified as Ravindran, for quite some time, according to the police. “The man had called her to meet him at a jewelry shop, to which she had come. The two apparently had a difference of opinion after which the incident seems to have happened,” said one of the police officials from Valliyur.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV. A case has been filed under section 302 and the investigation is on progress.
