Yogi Adityanath isolates himself after testing for Covid-19

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the latest political heavyweight to test positive for Covid-19. His test result was made official on the same day as the State's former CM, Akhilesh Yadav, tested positive.

"When the initial symptoms appeared, I got myself tested for coronavirus. My report came back as positive," the BJP leader tweeted.

He said that he is in self-isolation and has been adhering to Covid-related instructions of physicians. The CM of India's most populous State is doing work virtually.

It may be noted that Yogi had received the first jab of coronavirus vaccine on April 1. Given this, he is likely to run only mild symptoms for a few days before getting cured.
