Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja had made his debut as a producer last year with the romantic entertainer Pyaar Prema Kadhal directed by debutant Elan and starring Raiza Wilson and Harish Kalyan in lead roles. The movie, which also had music by Yuvan himself, achieved commercial success.

Following the movie, Yuvan shankar Raja's YSR Films is also producing Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming rural entertainer Maamanithan directed by his mentor Seenu Ramasamy, and the movie which has music by Yuvan and Isaignani Ilayaraja is fast progressing.

Today Yuvan Shankar Raja announced his next production venture with the release of the first look. Titled Alice, the movie is directed by Mani Chandru, and has Raiza Wilson playing the female lead. With the first look having a disconnected head and a headless body, the movie gives signs of a horror thriller.
