Actor Arvind Swamy started the year with a stunning performance in the recent super hit 'Bogan'. He is presently shooting for 'Sathuranga Vettai 2' directed by Nirmal Kumar.

Today another film with the evergreen charming actor has been formally launched.

'Vanangamudi' directed by Selva with Arvind Swamy and Ritika Singh in lead roles has been launched with a pooja today (February 16, 2017). The shooting has also commenced today according to sources. Arvind Swamy first confirmed this to IndiaGlitz in his Red Carpet interview last week.

'Vanangamudi' with Selva- we have been talking about this storyline for quite some time. Its about a cop. We are trying almost like a life story of that police officer..his graph. Its not a typical Tamil cinema cop. Its a very interesting script. its not about (the cop's) bravado and things like that. Its a story where he solves crimes and takes a lot of flak for the way he does it. Its got a lot of action and certain elements of grey in it. We are starting it next week. It will be like a full length commercial film. This film will probably come out in August. "

D.Imman will render music score for this film. Nandita Shweta plays an important role in 'Vanangamudi'.
