Mega projects lines up for Naseeruddin Shah

IndiaGlitz [Wednesday, June 14, 2006]

Last year was great for Naseeruddin Shah as his friendly voiceover act in 'Paheli' was followed by one of the best roles written in recent times for the movie 'Iqbal'.

2006 began on an average note for him as neither his role in 'Mixed Doubles' was anything great to talk home about nor were there many accolades for him in 'Being Cyrus' where he was either blabbering or just quiet [though this was more in sync with the demands of the character]. On the other hand his act of GOD in 'Banaras - A Mystic Love Story' went unnoticed as the movie sunk without a trace.

Now in coming months he should be seen in roles where he would be sinking his teeth into roles of substance as 'Krrish' is followed by 'Omkara'. While in fantasy 'Krrish', he is said to be playing the role of a scientist who dreams of reigning the world, in 'Omkara' he gets realistic in the role of 'bhaisaab', a politician/don, who operates from the confines of prison.

This is not all as he would also be seen as a driver in forthcoming 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.' even while his directorial debut 'Yun Hota To Kya Hota' gets ready for a release.
