Late Amrish Puri's last film ready for release
IndiaGlitz [Saturday, August 19, 2006]

Late Amrish Puri had some of his best roles coming in last couple of years when he was struggling with his illness. 'Dev', 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'Aitraaz' and 'Hulchul' [all in 2004] are the ones that were notable for his performance.

Around a week after his unfortunate demise on 12th January 2005, he was seen last in 'Kisna'. After that the veteran actor was not seen in any other film. Now around 20 months after his death, he would be seen on the big screen again in 'Kachchi Sadak', a film by Sanjay D Singh. 'Kachchi Sadak' stars Rahul Singh, Parmita Katkar and Madhoo along with host of character artists like Mukesh Tiwari, Rahul Dev, Aman Verma, Govind Namdeo, Sharat Saxena, Tinu Anand and Anant Jog.

An added attraction about the film is a special appearance by Mithun Chakraborty. Made under the banner of Jia Entertainment Network Pvt. Ltd., the film also promotes Rajasthan tourism and has been shot mainly at Jodhpur.

Amrish Puri plays a jailor who deals with the main criminals inside and outside the jail. The film revolves around the life of liquor barons of North India. The feud in the family as well as with the politicians forms the main plot of the film. Also, the movie throws light on the wrong influence of liquor on the youth.
