he promos of 'Raaz 3' are on and one can also see that from being a central protagonist in 'Raaz', Bipasha Basu has now turned a chief antagonist in the latest offering in the franchise.
Playing a seductress ex-superstar who also practices black magic, it has also been revealed in the promo that she tries to take advantage of a director (played by Emraan Hashmi) to get rid of another superstar actress (Esha Gupta) who has taken her place.
Since director Vikram hasn't made a film on black magic before, was that the driving force for him to kick-start 'Raaz 3'?
"No, not really. It wasn't even the Bollywood backdrop that gave me a kick. What enticed me was the emotion of jealousy", reasons Vikram, "See, if you look at it, that's the most potent content of the story here since it is the core sense of emotion that my characters go through.
'Raaz' was about obsession, 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' was about greed and now 'Raaz 3' is about jealousy. It's an all consuming negative emotion that can be totally destructive."
He adds, "It isn't very often that you see something like this in a horror film. I thought that by incorporating it in 'Raaz', we could bring in a new dimension to the franchise."
We too would see soon once the film releases all over on 7th September.
