Abhay Deol turns actor for his debut production

The talented handsome Abhay Deol is gearing up to handle bigger responsibility. Abhay, who garnered critical acclaims for his non-commercial films, is turning into a producer.

But did you know this is not the first project for which he is handling the production section. Abhay incidentally had made his production debut with a film titled 'Basra' that unfortunately got shelved due to some financial issues.

So with renewed confidence Abhay is turning again his energies towards producing a movie, which is yet to be titled.

Apparently talks are that Abhay himself will play the lead hero, since this will be his maiden venture and he is keen to be economical."I'm making baby steps in production.

Being a first-time producer, I won't get a big star to work in those films. So I have to put myself in the film because of money constraints," the 'Shanghai' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' star stated in an interview.

Currently Abhay is working on Aanand L rai's 'Raanjhnaa'.
